Dedicated to the enhancement of teaching and learning at Stonehill and access to information with relevant technologies and support services.

Working Definition

Instructional technology involves the effective use of audio, video, communications, and computer technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes, access to pedagogical materials, appreciation of content, and the development of communication, research, and teamwork skills.

News

11/06/00  Chairs and program directors resolve that instructional technology is important and that the faculty needs to play a greater role in specifying required elements and needed support.

12/04/00  Academic Dean requests the formation of a Committee on Instructional Technology to facilitate develop of an academic strategic plan.

12/05/00 Formation of Committee begins.

    12/07/00 Faculty assembly meeting discusses the importance of instructional technology and related needs.

    12/11/00 Instructional technology resource site established to facilitate coordination and provide faculty with useful information and ideas

    1/26/01 Committee begins to meet.
